Welcome.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO #20444), a Professional Art Therapist, and a PhD Candidate in Medical Anthropology at the University of Toronto. I founded Imaginari Counselling & Psychotherapy with heart, as a space where children, youth, adults, and families can feel supported through thoughtful, relational, and creative psychotherapy.
My path to psychotherapy began in 2006 as a professional visual artist in downtown Toronto and grew through work in educational, group homes, and clinical settings. This creative foundation continues to shape an approach that honours imagination, relationship, and care.
Along the way, a six-year-old client — I’ll call him Jack — quietly transformed my understanding of therapy. When words felt difficult, Jack built worlds through cardboard, colour, and gesture. What others saw as behavioural, I began to understand as communication — rich, imaginative, and deeply meaningful.
Through Jack, I witnessed how art can become language, how play can become narrative, and how imagination can become a bridge. Jack introduced me to the wonders of art therapy not as technique, but as relationship — and that lesson continues to guide my work today.
While I specialize in working with children, my experience as a business school professor and my doctoral research focused on imagination and art-based therapy also inform my work with youth and adults.
I support clients across the lifespan navigating anxiety, new diagnosis, emotional regulation, self-esteem, anger-management, bullying, OCD tendencies, school and work stress, family and relationship dynamics, identity, and life transitions.
My practice is culturally-safe and neurodiversity-affirming supporting families and individuals with autism (ASD), ADHD, ADD, and learning differences in ways that value diverse ways of thinking, communicating, and being.
My approach is trauma-informed, holistic and collaborative, co-creating with each client to recognize strengths, build insight, and support meaningful growth in ways that feel respectful and attainable.
Sessions may be talk-based, art-informed, or a combination of both, depending on each client’s needs.
Virtual therapy is available for older children, youth, and adults when appropriate.
Imaginari is grounded in warmth, cultural sensitivity, collaboration, and the belief that imagination — when met with care — can gently support healing and growth.
I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s talk.
