Psychotherapy services with you and your family in mind.
Welcome.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO #20444), a Professional Art Therapist, and a PhD Candidate in Medical Anthropology at the University of Toronto.
I founded Imaginari Counselling & Psychotherapy as a space where children, youth, adults, and families can feel supported through thoughtful, relational, and creative care.
My path began in 2006 as a professional visual artist in downtown Toronto and grew through work in educational, group home, and clinical settings—shaping an approach grounded in imagination, relationship, and care.
A six-year-old client — I’ll call him Jack — transformed my understanding of therapy. When words felt difficult, he built worlds through cardboard, colour, and gesture. What others saw as behavioural, I came to understand as meaningful communication. Through this, I witnessed how art can become language, play can become narrative, and imagination can become a bridge—an insight that continues to guide my work.
While I specialize in working with children, my experience as a business school professor and doctoral research in imagination and art-based therapy inform my work with youth and adults.
I support clients across the lifespan navigating anxiety, new diagnoses, emotional regulation, self-esteem, anger management, bullying, OCD tendencies, school and work stress, relationship and family dynamics, identity, and life transitions. My work is trauma-informed, culturally safe, and neurodiversity-affirming, supporting individuals with autism (ASD), ADHD, ADD, and learning differences.
I work collaboratively with each client to recognize strengths, build insight, and support meaningful, attainable growth. Sessions may be talk-based, art-informed, or a combination of both, depending on each client’s needs.
Virtual/Online therapy is available.
Imaginari is grounded in warmth, collaboration, and the belief that imagination—when met with care—can support healing and growth.
*Psychotherapy sessions may be eligible for coverage through the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and under most extended health insurance plans.
I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s talk.
